Ocean City Firefighter's Memorial

MAY 06 - While several Thorndale Fire Company members were having a long weekend in Ocean City Maryland the group ventured off to the Firefighters Memorial, to search for the Brick that the fire company purchased to be part of this wonderful memorial for all firefighters and the 343 firefighters that were killed in the line of duty September 11, 2001.

Passing of Caln Police Sergeant John Kissinger

MAY 06 - It is with deep sorrow that the Caln Township Police Department announces the death of 19 year veteran, Sergeant John Kissinger. Sergeant Kissinger fought a courageous, but inevitable losing battle with inoperable lung cancer, which he was diagnosed in September 2007.

Second Alarm House Fire in Coatesville

MAY 03 - On Saturday May 3, 2008 the Thorndale Fire Company was dispatched at 10:06 to assist the City of Coatesville Fire Department with a two alarm house fire on 13th Avenue in the East End of the city. Station 38 was part of a second alarm house fire assignment, which included Station 37 (Modena), Station 44 (Westwood), Tower 45 (Alert of Downingtown), and Medic 93 (Brandywine).

Attack Line Training

MAY 01 - On Wednesday April 30, 2008 Thorndale Firefighters gathered for their weekly training session, which happened to be Attack Line Deployment. Captain Dan Donnachie reviewed the setup of the attack lines on Engine 38 and how to properly pull an attack line from the rear or side of the Engine. 3rd Annual Golf Tournament

APRIL 29 - On Saturday April 26, 2008 61 golfers headed to the Ingleside Golf Club for the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament Sponsored by the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company. This tournament benefits the Firefighters Equipment Fund.
