Accident with Rollover on Barley Sheaf Road

Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company, August 23

On Saturday August 23rd at 16:18 hours, the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched along with Ambulance 41 and Medic 93 for an accident with entrapment reported serious, to the 800 block of Barley Sheaf Road in Caln township.

Low Angle Rescue Training at Coatesville VA Hospital

On Wednesday August 20th, 2014, the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company traveled to the Coatesville VA Hospital for low angle rescue training. The evening began with the crew from Thorndale meeting up with the B-Platoon of Station 76 as well as Chief Ed Gouge (Coatesville VA) and setting up at the training site. Thorndale Dental Associates Helps to Support the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company

This year Dr. DeForno and staff will be donating their time and efforts to help Caln Community Days. Last year TDA raised over $1500.00 that was donated to Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company.

Once again we will have a dunk tank where Caln Commissioners, Firefighters and Dr. DeForno will be placed in the dunk tank. This year TDA and our local Firefighters would like to reach a goal of $3000.00.

Thorndale Trains at West Chester Fire Training Center

On Sunday August 10th, members of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company gave up their day off for extra training. At 07:00 the group assembled at the station for gear checks and riding assignments and not too long after, arrived at the fire training center in West Chester. The order of the day was hose line advancement and management.
