Fire Prevention Week this year will be held October 8-14. Our Open House will be Wednesday, October 11th from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM

Accident Involving Numerous Vehicles on Bypass

On Wednesday September 13th at 15:47 Station 38 along with Engine 76 and 41 EMS were dispatched to the Route 30 Bypass westbound in the area of Rt. 340 for the accident with injuries. Within a minute of the original dispatch the assignment was upgraded to possible entrapment adding Medic 93 to the call.

On Sunday September 10, 2017 The Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company along with The Chester County Antique Car Club Present the 6th annual Cruise In. Registration Opens at 11:30 am this years events include: Food, Music, Raffles, Free Admission and Fun for the Kids.

Traffic 38 assists Downingtown

Fire Police Officer Mark Walsh, September 05

On Tuesday shortly after 16:30hrs Traffic 38 was dispatched to assist the Downingtown Fire Department with an accident reported serious in the 200blk of Chestnut in the Boro. Crews had a vehicle overturned with negative entrapment however the vehicle struck and ruptured a natural gas line causing the area to be evacuated and the roadways closed.

Tractor Trailer Fire on Bypass

On Tuesday morning just after 7am Station 38 was dispatched to the Route 30 bypass westbound at MM 278.5 for the reported tractor trailer fire. Engine 38 made the response and were advised of a Tractor Trailer carrying garbage on fire on the side of the roadway. The 911 center advised they were getting numerous calls.
