THANK YOU AGAIN!

Sunday September 20th from 12-4 was our 3rd Annual Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company "Cruiz In" and as the saying goes, it was a charm! This year certainly rivaled last year with the quality of the vehicles on hand, and Mother Nature provided another beautiful day. While the volunteers were serving up the great food, the beautiful girls of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company were out in force selling chances to win some awesome prizes that were graciously donated by the sponsors of the day. Many thanks to all those sponsors who heard the call and responded to their local Volunteer fire company.

The CRUIZ IN was presented by the Chester County Antique Car Club and East End Auto. Special thanks must go out to East End Auto for their top donation of $500, as well as Nathan Trotter, Belfor and M. Walter Kramer for their contributions of $100 each. Thanks to Giant Foods, Clean and Go Car Wash, Downingtown Country Club, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Herr’s Chips, Wawa, Midas, Midway, Happy Days, Pizza Box, Caln Pizza and Pasta, Joeys, Italian Village, Colbert’s Car Care, Thorndale Beverage, Ingleside Golf Club, Acme, Ancient Auto, Thorndale Inn, Harry’s Hotdogs, PJ Welihans, Hatt’s Hardware, Harbor Freight, Good Year, AutoZone, Advanced Auto, Downingtown Bicycle Shop, Instant Imprints, Stella Rosa, Applebee’s, Del Toyota, and Ace Hardware of Thorndale.

As you can see, an awful lot goes into putting on our "Cruiz In", and it takes more than just posting a story on the website, and hanging up signs and passing out flyers. This is certainly not a one man show and it takes all the volunteers and plenty of those from the community who step up to get it all done. Thanks to all the people who helped to spread the word at other car shows, to those who went door to door asking for donations, and to those who worked that day at the event with food, prizes and the Fire Police for parking, that made it a special day for all. Thank you to Corey Huth our DJ for the day, who donated his services to the company. It certainly could not have been done without you! Last year we gave a big pat on the back to Jack Mohler, for organizing this event which raised over $1,000 for the fire company, but this year he stepped up his game and our event brought in over $1600! Thanks Jack! The members of the fire company are very grateful for all that people do for us and it just makes us want to give back even more.

Please join us next year at the 4th Annual Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company "Cruiz In", where I'm sure it will be another hit!

Remember! The Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company Open House and fire prevention night is just around the corner! Stay tuned for the story and then join us On Wednesday October 8th for some free fun for the whole family!
