By Deputy Chief Dan Donnachie
March 28, 2015

On Saturday March 28, 2015 at 00:06, the Thorndale Fire Company was dispatched to the McDonalds at 1820 Lincoln Highway for a reported vehicle fire. Caln Police arrived onscene to find a vehicle fully involved in the drive-thru lane.

Engine 38 arrived onscene at 00:14 and deployed an attack line, quickly darkening down the flames. Fire was concentrated in the engine compartment and below the dash the small pickup truck and had not extended into the bed. The fire was placed under control at 00:19 with units standing by onscene for the tow truck to arrive. Firefighters assisted the owner in removing his contracting equipment from the bed of the truck.

Once the vehicle was loaded onto the bed of the tow truck, the scene was cleaned up and units made available.

Units: Engine 38, Squad 38, Traffic 38
