By Thorndale Fire Company
April 28, 2016

Do you ever wonder who the person is that is putting out that house fire, directing traffic around and accident or fire scene, the EMS responder taking care of you when sick or injured, or the person that takes the time to educate you and your family on fire safety? Despite what your emergency is, our group of dedicated volunteer responders drop what they are doing to render aide. Yes, that is right we are all volunteer which means we receive no compensation for responding to the emergency. We all have jobs outside of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company or are students at local high schools and colleges. We have families that we spend time with and at a moment’s notice our pager can go off to respond to whatever emergency you have. In addition to our emergency responders we also have members that help us a great deal behind the scenes or in the community with various events such as the Strawberry Festival, Caln Community Day, and National Night out to name a few.

So far this year, you met six of our members, Steve Johnson, Sean Barron, Ron Miller, Jerard Linneman, Jim Mostyn, and John Groff. We would like to introduce two more of our members, who for the month of March, these dedicated members that you see pictured below responded to the most Fire Police incidents for the month as well as contribute their time in many other ways then just by responding to emergency calls. We cannot begin to thank not only these featured members but all of our members for their outstanding efforts in protecting the residents, business owners, and visitors of Caln Township. Please join us in thanking all of our members in their hard work and dedication to not only the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company but to the community.

Hobbies: When I'm not working I like to volunteer my time not only at Thorndale Fire Company but with other companies around the area photographing training, apparatus, banquets and also emergency scenes for them most of the time at no cost to them.
