Engine Handles Car Fire

On August 1st just before 9am as the Engine was just returning to the station from a reported house fire in West Bradford the Company was dispatched again along with Engine 76 from the VA this time to N Bailey Rd and Fisherville for the reported vehicle fire. The Engine responded immediately and were advised of an engine compartment fire.

Engine 38 under command of FM39 (Stackhouse) arrived at the same time as Engine 76 and reported a vehicle fire well off. The crew from Engine 38 pulled the front bumper line with assistance of Engine 76 and made a quick knock of the fire. Thorndale Fire Police were also on scene and had the roadways blocked so crews could work safely.

As this incident was happening Rescue 38 and Traffic 38 also responded to a vehicle accident in front of the Wawa on Lincoln Highway. No injuries were reported and crews were able to clear the scene quickly.
