Traffic 38 assists Downingtown

On Tuesday shortly after 16:30hrs Traffic 38 was dispatched to assist the Downingtown Fire Department with an accident reported serious in the 200blk of Chestnut in the Boro. Crews had a vehicle overturned with negative entrapment however the vehicle struck and ruptured a natural gas line causing the area to be evacuated and the roadways closed.

Traffic 38 made the response with 2 Fire Police Officers while 2 other Thorndale Fire Police Officers responded direct to the scene. Thorndale Fire Police were assigned to the intersection of Creek and Boot Rd and were on scene for approx. 1 hour before being released from the scene.
