The Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company would like to invite you to our:

THORNDALE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY OPEN HOUSE

Fire Prevention Week this year will be held October 8-14. Our Open House will be Wednesday, October 11th from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM

This Year’s theme from the NFPA is “Every Second Counts; Plan 2 Ways Out”.

Bring the kids down to the fire house for some FREE fun!!

Things to do include a tour of all of our apparatus like our newest Engine 38. On hand for display will also be Rescue 38, Traffic 38, Utility 38, Squad 38 and our original, first ever fire engine; a 1939 Chevy purchased for $669.00. The 1939 Chevy is currently undergoing restoration but it is a slow process. Donations are always being accepted and always appreciated. We are fortunate to have Goshen Fire Company’s Tower 54 joining us as well as Modena Fire Company Brush Jeep 37.

When you're not admiring all the cool things you'll find on Rescue 38, find your way over to the many other stations we have set up, or dress up like a firefighter or flow some water with a fire hose.

Our special demonstration this year will be a live controlled burn that will demonstrate how a fire grows and can engulf a room in minutes, leaving people with little time to exit the building if they have working smoke detectors. We will start to prepare for the live controlled burn around 8:00 pm.

Goodie bags for the kids will also be handed out while our supply lasts!

Thank you from the members of the Thorndale Fire Company; Station 38.
