On Monday afternoon just before 12:30 the tones went off for a reported house fire in West Bradford on the 1400blk of Carolina Place. Stations 39 (West Bradford), 38 (Thorndale), 49 (East Brandywine) and 45&46 (Downingtown) were on the initial dispatch. The Chester County 911 Center was getting reports of a bedroom on fire with possible entrapment.

Engine 38 made the response within 2 minutes and were the first apparatus on scene. Assistant 39 was the first officer on scene and reported smoke showing from division 2 "AB" corner of a 2 story single family dwelling. All occupants were now reported out of the house. Engine 38 took the driveway and hand jacked a 5 inch supply line to the hydrant which was right next to the driveway. The crew also stretched and 1 3/4 handline and went in service to extinguish the fire. Luckily the fire was contained to the initial room of origin and was under control quickly.

Crews performed overhaul to check for any extension and once done began to clean up and returned to station.
