At 5:22am on April 20th the volunteers of Thorndale Fire Company got an early wake up call for a reported car on fire in the parking lot of Faddis Concrete in the 3500blk of Kings Highway. Initial reports were of an SUV on fire in the lot unoccupied.

Chief 38 was the first to respond and while enroute advised he could see a smoke column in the air. Arriving a short time later Chief 38 confirmed a fully involved car fire in the parking lot with no exposure issues. Engine 38 made the response and on arrival the crew stretched the 1 3/4” bumper line, quickly extinguishing the fire. Crews remained on scene for approx. 20 minutes making sure the vehicle was fully extinguished. Once it was determined the fire was completely out the crew wrapped up the hose and were available by 6am.
