The Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company had a busy day on November 4, 2023.
5 Volunteers joined with the Red Cross to install smoke detectors in the Brandywine Homes and Barley Sheaf Farms developments of Caln Township. 58 homes had smoke detectors installed, 107 smoke detectors total installed, and 121 residents had received fire safety education.
During the smoke detector installs, firefighters then responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in the Megargee Heights section of Caln Township.
Members also attended Friends and Family Day at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus to see FF Lia Raezer completing her practical skills, to become a certified Firefighter.
