At 09:31 this morning, Station 38 and Engine 76 were dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at 1834 Lincoln Highway, Rainbow Wash House. Ast. 38 arrived on location and reported a one-story commercial building with no evacuation in progress and no visible signs of fire or smoke from the exterior.

Engine 76 arrived as the first-due engine and initiated an interior investigation. Crews located a commercial dryer with smoke showing and an active fire contained to the interior of the appliance. Engine 38 arrived as the second-due engine and backed up Engine 76’s water can operations with a booster line. The remaining burning contents—clothing—were fully extinguished.

The incident was contained to the dryer unit, with no fire extension beyond the appliance.
