Just before 18:00 hours, Station 38 was alerted to the Royal Farms for a possible vehicle fire. Assistant 45 (Alert FC) was in the area and reported the engine compartment on fire. Prior to the arrival of the fire company, the vehicle owner and bystanders moved the vehicle away from the fuel pumps and attempted to extinguish the fire with available Dry-Chem Extinguishers. A total 5 extinguishers were utilized without success. Deputy 38 arrived on the scene and established Royal Farms Command. The crew from Engine 38 deployed a 1 3/4" attack line to extinguish the fire. The crew quickly brought the fire under control. With the fire out, no additional fire company services were required, incident command was terminated and the company returned to a ready status.
