| Around 20:15 hours, Station 38 was dispatched as part of the first alarm structure fire response to the 600 block of E. Lincoln Highway to assist the Coatesville Fire Department with a possible house fire. Initial reports indicated flames could be seen from the back of the house and people were unable to get out. Reports also indicated there were three people stuck on the roof and the roof was on fire.
Ladder and Engine 41 arrived on the scene confirming heavy fire to the rear of the home on the Charlie/Delta corner with impingement on the adjoining homes. Engine 41 laid a supply line from Seventh Avenue to the fire scene. Battalion 41 established Lincoln Highway command. Squad 38 arrived on the scene, and the crew was assigned fire suppression on the Charlie division of the structure with Deputy 38 being assigned Charlie Division supervisor. The crew from Squad 38 threw ground ladders to division 2 and advanced 1 3/4" attack lines into the window on division 2 to assist with fire suppression.
With fire was advancing to division 3 with limited access to that area. Squad and Utility 38 crew accessed the division 3 rear window using a roof ladder and advanced an attack line into the structure for fire suppression. A little over an hour later, the fire was brought under control with crews continuing to provide further ventilation, salvage and overhaul. Station 38 units were officially release by incident command around 23:15 hours.
