At 2:15 AM on Monday November 19th, the Thorndale Fire Company was dispatched to the West bound Rt. 30 by-pass and Reeceville Road overpass for an overturned vehicle. Engine 76 (VA) arrived on the scene first to confirm one vehicle overturned on the shoulder partially blocking the right lane and the driver was out of the vehicle. Luckily they were not seriously injured. Rescue 38 arrived on the scene to provide protection for Chief 38, the Caln Police Dept and PA State Police who also responded to the call. Traffic 38 along with the Fire Police Capt and Lt. also provided coverage by closing the right lane for roughly one hour. The Rescue crew proceeded to clean up the debris and secure the vehicle until the tow truck arrived and hauled it away.
You never know what or whom you will encounter while driving at night, so please mind all posted speed limits and drive safely. With deer season upon us, please remind the younger drivers to stay alert as you are more likely to see more deer at dusk or dawn over the next several weeks. Please be attentive. That is a phone call no parent wants to receive.
