On Saturday August 23rd at 16:18 hours, the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched along with Ambulance 41 and Medic 93 for an accident with entrapment reported serious, to the 800 block of Barley Sheaf Road in Caln township.

Assistant 38 Taylor arrived on scene and found one vehicle on its side with the driver still in the vehicle but appeared to be unhurt. Rescue 38 arrived and stabilized the vehicle and then began to remove the windshield to extricate the driver. Thorndale Fire police closed the road at Kings Highway and Allison Drive while crews operated on the scene. Once the glass was removed, EMT's were able to attend to the driver who was able to walk out of the vehicle and to the ambulance.

Once the tow truck arrived and hooked the vehicle, Rescue 38 cleared the scene and returned to the station for clean up. The company was available by 17:30 hrs.
