On Thursday July 11, 2014, the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company and Caln Township placed an order for a new pumper with 4-Guys Fire Trucks, Inc. of Meyersdale, PA through the local sales representative, Bob Pursel of Commonwealth Fire Equipment Company, Inc. located in Winchester, VA. The basic specifications for the new pumper are:
December 10, 2014 – Cab is approaching final assembly at Spartan’s Facility. The cab has been mounted on the chassis. December 15, 2014 - Cab with Chassis delivered to 4-Guys Fire Trucks, Inc. in Myersdale, Pennsylvania. April 15, 2015 - Pump placed on chassis and rough body construction progressing. April 27, 2015 - Compartment doors added, water tank added, pump plumbing progressing. May 1, 2015 - Pre-Paint Inspection Trip May 30, 2015 - Body painted, compartment shelving started, and chevron applied. June 1, 2015 - Chevron graphics complete and compartment shelving progress. June 3, 2015 - Warning and scene lighting installed on body, stainless steel overlay panels installed, tailboard installed, and stripe applied. June 12, 2015 - Pump panel gauges and valves installed, a majority of equipment mounting completed, and final assembly progressing. June 24, 2015 - Final Inspection by the Engine Committee at 4-Guys Fire Trucks in Meyersdale, PA Date of Delivery: June 25, 2015 |
