On Friday Evening 5/22/2015 at 1709hrs Company 38 was dispatched to assist West Bradford Fire Company Station 39 with an agricultural rescue. Station 39 units were dispatched to the 1500 block of Montvale Circle for the report of an overturned tractor with a male trapped underneath. Upon arrival of Chief 39 he confirmed the report and requested a helicopter (JeffStat 3) be placed on standby and also requested a 2nd Rescue Company which was Station 38. Rescue 38 responded with a crew of 4 and on arrival assisted Rescue 39 with airbags, come alongs and cribbing to help extricate the patient from underneath the tractor. The subject had been cutting his lawn on a hill when the tractor lost grip and rolled over backwards and went down a hill approx 15 feet landing on top of him. The companies worked together as a team and were able to safely extricate the victim. Medics who were already on scene and caring for the patient finished getting him ready for transport and decided the helicopter was not needed. EMS transported the subject by ground to a local hospital. Visit the link below for further pictures of the incident from IrishEyez Photography
