At 16:29 PM the Thorndale Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Modena Fire Company Station 37 with a reported house fire in the 100 block of Bridal Path Lane in East Fallowfield Township. Engine 38 arrived on scene and provided a water supply from a hydrant on West Chester Road up to the fire ground, while crews made their way to the house to assist in the fire attack. Due to multiple calls from local residents, Chester County added the working fire dispatch which brought in more crews to the scene. Eventually Command added an alarm that brought even more crews to the scene to assist with manpower.

Nearby homes were affected by the excessive heat radiating from the fire and some vinyl siding was warped while other siding was completely melted off. Crews were able to get water on the fire fast which prevented any spread to the adjacent homes. The house was a complete loss, but others were spared. The rear of the house had completely collapsed due to the seriousness of the fire and crews were made to stay a safe distance away in case any more parts of the structure came down.

The company was released about 18:15 and headed back to the station to commence clean up. We would like to thank Engine 51-2 from the First West Chester Fire Company who covered our area while we assisted at the scene.
