Entrapment in West Bradford

On Monday afternoon 7/27/2015 at 17:35 hours Rescue 38 was dispatched to assist Station 39 (West Bradford) for the MVA with entrapment in front of 2485 West Chester Rd. Rescue 38 responded shortly after dispatch with a crew of 4 and arrived not far behind Chief 39 who arrived first and reported 1 vehicle into a telephone pole with one subject down on the front lawn and another subject trapped in the passenger side. Rescue 38 arrived and quickly went to work stabilizing the vehicle and going to work with the combi tool and mock cutter to free the trapped passenger. Crews from Rescue 39 and Engine 39 arrived and assisted the crew from 38. The passenger side door was taken off in less then 10 minutes giving EMS from Station 37 (Modena) access to the patient. Once the patient was removed crews started the clean up process and were back in service within 30 minutes of the initial dispatch. Both patients were transported to a local trauma center by Ambulances 37-1 and 37-2 along with Medics 93 and 193.
