On Sunday 5/1/2016 as the last of the Volunteers were about to leave to head home from helping at the 5K Color Run the company was dispatched to Caranel Circle & Crest Dr in Caln Twp for the car fire.

Chief and Engine 38 made the response and were advised of a Grey Cadillac with flames coming from the driver side of the vehicle. Caln PD were first to arrive and had fire showing from the front left bumper of the vehicle. One of the officers quickly put a dry chem extinguisher in service and knocked the fire down. Once Chief and Engine 38 arrived on scene the crew placed a booster line in service to wet down the area to make sure it was totally extinguished while Caln PD attempted to find the owner. Once the owner was found he was able to unlock the vehicle so that the hood could be popped without creating any further damage to the vehicle and the rest of the area was wet down after the battery was disconnected. Once everything was returned to the apparatus the company was made available.
