On Friday night 2/24/2017 at 18:49 Station 38 was alerted for the accident with entrapment on Lincoln Highway at Marshalton Rd in front of the Mcdonalds. MICU 46 (Minquas Fire Company) was already on location and reported a 2 vehicle accident with entrapment of one subject. Rescue 38, Assistant 38, Chief 38 and Traffic 38 made the response in a matter of minutes and on arrival the Rescue went into service. Crews used cribbing to secure the vehicle from moving and put the cutters and spreaders into service to remove the drivers side doors and the B post. As the firefighters were beginning extrication efforts Traffic 38 and several Fire Police Officers were busy closing the roadway down at multiple locations to give the crews a safe area to work. Due to the location of the accident Assistant 38 who had command requested additional fire police from Stations 45 and 46. Extrication efforts took less then 10 minutes and once the doors were removed EMS was then able to remove the patient and transport to a local hospital.

Crews from Rescue and Engine 38 cleaned up the tools and returned to service while Traffic 38 and Fire Police remained on scene for approx 20 more minutes while Flings Towing was on scene removing the vehicles that were involved. Crews were on scene for approx. 45 minutes total.
