On Saturday 03/04/2017 at 16:28 the box alarm was struck for the 1300blk of Beechwood Dr in East Fallowfield for the reported house fire. On the assignment were Stations 37, 38, Ladder 41, Engine 76, Engine 44-5 and Station 31 for RIT. Initial report from the homeowner was of a fire in the walls to the rear of the house.

Battalion 37 arrived first and reported nothing showing and was investigating. As he started to investigate it became evident they did have an active fire in the wall to the rear of the attached garage. Engine 37-1 arrived and stretched an 1 3/4 handline to the garage and began opening the wall on the interior to try to gain access to the fire. Ladder 41 was next on scene and put the ladder to the roof. Engine 38 arrived and was instructed to pull a secondary handline to the rear of the building. Crews worked on both the rear of the house and inside of the garage opening the walls and were able to gain access to the fire rather quickly and put a knock on the fire.

As more crews arrived on scene they were sent inside to secure power and check for any extension which there was none. The fire was placed under control in less then 15 minutes and the assignment was scaled back to 37 units once all the other units were cleaned up and put back into service.
