On Wednesday April 5th Station 38 was dispatched to assist Modena Fire Company on the reported house fire in East Fallowfield on Watch Hill Rd. Initial reports were of a kitchen fire that was getting bigger.

Lt 37 arrived first with smoke showing from the residence and requested a working fire dispatch. Ambulance 37 arrived as well and Lt 37 and EMS found one of the homeowners still inside trying to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher. Most of the fire was successfully knocked down by the homeowner and the fire was quickly placed under control and the assignment was scaled back to Engine 38 and 37. The homeowner suffered some minor burns that were treated by Ambulance 37 on scene.

Engine 38 arrived on scene first and placed a fan in service to clear the remaining smoke from the residence and went into the kitchen to make sure there was no more fire. As crews were securing utilities and about to clear the scene an accident was dispatched on 1st Ave in South Coatesville. Command 37 cleared Engine 38 from the scene and had them make the response. While enroute the Engine was recalled by Assistant 38 with no fire services needed.
