On Friday afternoon around 15:30hrs as Station 38 was clearing a motorcycle accident Chester County 911 Center contacted Chief 38 to see if Station 38 could provide an Engine to cover Station 5 (East Whiteland) while they were out on a working barn fire in their first due local.

Engine 38 responded with a crew of 4 and were also met at Station 5 by Chief, Deputy and Assistant 38. While the crew stood by on station they began to prep fresh hoselines for East Whitelands Engines when they returned to the station. Crews got 800ft of 1 3/4 handlines ready to be placed on the trucks. Once that was done Engine 38 was called into the fire scene and assisted with re-packing 1000ft of 5 inch on one of Station 5's Engines. A short time later Engine 38 was dispatched to assist EMS with lifting but were recalled by the Medic before arriving on scene.

Once back at Station 5 Engine 38 assisted with cleaning 800ft of 1 3/4 and putting it up to dry and packed another 500ft of 5 inch.

The crew was on the cover assignment until approx 2040hrs
