Cool Down on a Hot Night
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Lieutenant Sean Barron
August 11, 2018

This past Wednesday while conducting water supply drills in the township, we were approached by the most welcoming group of people at just the right time.

Members of the Central Presbyterian Church in Downingtown were out in the hot humid night tending to their flock and making sure that people were staying cool. At the peak of our training, the group walked over and asked us if we would like freeze pops! Of course not a soul turned them down!

According to their website, "love is the foundation for all that we do...a love that transcends our differences and a love that extends into our community." On behalf of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company, I would like to thank those unknown members from the Central Presbyterian Church in Downingtown who donated their time to spread love to all they met that night, including us.
