On Monday January 20th at 8:27am, Engine and Rescue 38 was dispatched as part of the first alarm structure assignment to assist West Bradford Fire Company (Station 39) in the Victoria Crossing Development on a shed fire. Engine 38 responded at 8:29am with a crew of 3. Engine 39-1 arrived first and reported a 10x10 shed to the rear of the residence that had already burnt to the ground. Engine 38 arrived and stood by at the hydrant in case water supply would be needed while the crew went to assist Engine 39-1's crew with extinguishment and overhaul operations. Chief 39 placed the fire under control within minutes and held the response to 39 and 38 units. Engine 38 was directed by Chief 39 to proceed up to the scene and supply Engine 39-1 with tank water. 38 & 39 crews worked on extinguishing the contents of the shed and cleared the scene a short time later.
