On Sunday at 20:05 hours Station 38 and numerous surrounding mutual aid companies were dispatched for a reported house fire in the 100blk of Schoolhouse Ln. Initial reports from the caller were that the smoke was coming from the upstairs windows of the residence. Chief 6 was in the area and confirmed a working fire on the second floor of the residence. With that report Deputy 38 requested the Working Fire Dispatch as well as a First Alarm Tanker Task Force due to a lack of water supply in that area of the township.

Deputy 38 arrived on scene established School House Command and requested the first due engine to position in the front yard leaving the driveway open for the ladder truck. Engine 35 arrived as the first due positioning in the front yard and stretched two hand lines into the residence as Rescue 38 arrived right behind them and deployed an additional hoseline into the residence. With the quick actions from Engine 35 and Rescue 38 crews, the fire was contained to just the kitchen area.

Engine 49-5 and Tanker 35 arrived and supplied water to both Engine 35 and Rescue 38. Command recalled the Tanker Task Force and released majority of other units due to the situation being brought under control quickly with minimal extension.

Crews operated on scene for just over 2 hours completing additional overhaul and hosing down wet spots. Fire Police from Station 38 and mutual aid companies closed Schoolhouse Lane and provided crowd control around the scene.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this incident. Photos from various sources including IrishEyez Photography and Chesco Fire Photography.
