At 2:35 hours on July 11th Station 38 and MICU 46 (Minquas EMS) was dispatched to Hazlewood Ave in the area of Oak Lane for an Automobile Accident Involving Fire. Chief 38 (Donnachie) arrived shortly after dispatch to find one vehicle overturned confirming the vehicle also on fire. Engine 38 arrived and stretched the front bumper line to extinguish the fire. Luckily the occupants had escaped the vehicle prior to the vehicle catching on fire. The crews from Engine and Utility 38 worked to quickly place the fire under control.

Crews remained on scene awaiting the tow company to flip the vehicle over in order to wet down any additional hot spots that remained inside the vehicle. Crews assisted with debris removal as a result of the accident. Station 38 Fire Police closed Hazlewood Ave between Oak Lane and Embreeville Road.
