| Why did you join the fire department? |
I joined the fire department for the same reasons most people do; to help others. I like the idea of complete strangers with jobs, families and other responsibilities that drop what they're doing to respond to a distress call from some one they don't know. It's an awesome example of how humanity should be. When you're the one who needs help, hearing those sirens getting closer is a great feeling and I'm proud to be a part of it. |

| What are your hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department? |
I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my children grow up. I love learning and there is so much in the world to explore, which I hope to instill in my children. I love to read on topics of economics, law and history (specifically the Battle of Gettysburg) and when I'm not doing that, I'm usually at work, with my family, on a call or trying to get some sleep. |

| What do you like best about being part of the fire department? |
I enjoy being part of a team. I appreciate how people from all walks of life can come together in their "free time" to help the community. I enjoy the comradery at the station, all the hard work that volunteers give and the ability to make a difference. |
