| On Sunday, August 12, 2007 three members from the Thorndale Fire Company completed a two day Emergency Vehicle Operator Course that was offered by the Westwood Fire Company. In order for our members to drive and/or operate any of our emergency vehicles they must successfully complete this course.
The 16 hour course covers several topics related to emergency vehicle operations and driving techniques. The topics covered in this class include, but are not limited to the legal aspects, intersection safety, standard operating procedures, and vehicle maintenance. Each participant attends a classroom session, completes a written exam, and demonstrates the skills taught in the classroom on the practical driving course.
Congratulations to Fire Police Officer Rob Albrecht, Firefighter Mike Bogus, and Firefighter Zach Groff on successfully passing this class.
